As our community is currently distributed, mixers are intended to be lightweight and grassroot opportunities for staying connected.
Any member of the DUB community can and should host a mixer, and we have created the above spreadsheet to help people coordinate.
We expect mixers to require little or no advance preparation.
Participants may declare a topic of interest for a mixer, or they may decide to just connect and socialize.
Talk about living and working remotely, talking about classes or research, or even play a game.
We encourage the community to use this time and space however will be most helpful
in managing all of our needs in this time.
As you decide whether to join an existing mixer group or start a new mixer group,
be mindful of the virtual format and how many people can effectively participate in a given mixer.
This will vary according to the plan for any mixer, so use your best judgment.
